Why we need this call-to-action
This summer, the state published a draft of its comprehensive energy plan, which is open for comment until October 6th. The Governor’s plan is woefully inadequate. The draft state energy plan abandons CLCPA targets, keeps the state on fossil fuels indefinitely, and treats the New York Power Authority’s ability to build public renewables as an afterthought, when it should be the main driver of the state’s energy future.
Third Act Upstate New York is joining with Public Power NY to call for New York’s energy plan to be based on public renewables, not pipelines. Send a comment today and share with your friends, family, and coworkers!

While the President of the United States talked about the “climate hoax”, leaders within the United Nations called for massively fast-tracking climate action on all fronts if we are to avert critical tipping points in the climate system.
