Learn more about Permaculture with my free 4-part Masterclass series, here: http://bit.ly/2YzjPkq For those that would like an overview of worm farms, head here: https://youtu.be/Z5ozNM-Hb0w Using two buckets, one slightly larger than the other, it’s possible to make a worm farm tower. Holes should be drilled in the smaller bucket, and it can be slipped into the larger one. The smaller bucket will hold the worm farm, and the juices will drain into the larger bucket. In order to prevent the worms from falling through into the lower bucket, double over a piece of shade cloth or tight mesh twice and put it at the bottom of the worm farm. This will allow the juices to seep through but not the worms. Then, the liquid can be used whenever desirable. It’s really just two buckets, but it handles a small bit of food waste and provides both liquid and solid fertilizer. Key Takeaways: • A worm farm tower is made of two buckets, one slightly larger than the other. • The smaller bucket has holes drilled in the bottom and should have some type of screening installed to prevent worms from falling down into the larger bucket. • A worm farm tower is an easy way to cycle a small amount of food and get both liquid and solid fertilizer.
