Their goal was to make it as comfortable as possible so they've got a loft with extra headroom that allows you to sit up in bed, a ladder staircase combo that's comfortable to go up and down, and a hidden dishwasher and washer dryer as well. One of the most striking features of the tiny house is the rooftop deck they built into the roofline which provides outdoor space and great views no matter where the tiny house is parked. To waterproof the deck, they used a product called Duradek: https://duradek.com/ The house is a hybrid so it can run off solar power for short periods of time but it currently only has 500 watts of solar and a couple of batteries so it would need to be upgraded to be completely off-grid. The water system can switch between a fresh and greywater tank, or be hooked up to municipal water. The house also has a Separett composting toilet and a propane water heater and stove. They also have a combination heater/air conditioner unit in the loft to heat and cool the tiny house. Another feature that we love is the large casement windows that can be tilted open even in the rain. This is a beautiful tiny house and if you're interested in checking it out, they have it up on Airbnb here: https://ift.tt/3216T9G Thanks for watching!
